How do I use Service Plugs?
..............................................................................................................
Service Plugs are easily installed by hand with a slight twisting motion while pushing into any hose or rigid line.  It does not matter if the hose or line has an end fitting installed.  The service plug will make a snug fit and works well with or without an end fitting.  Three sizes of service plugs are available to best match the job at hand.  Choose the size that closely matches the inside diameter of your hose.  It may sometimes be necessary to cut a plug to prevent it from bottoming-out (an example would be when plugging an elbow).  When you cut a plug, be careful to trim off enough material to make a good seal, yet leave enough material for easy removal of the plug when the job is done.  Be sure to thoroughly clean your plug after using.  As long as the plug remains smooth enough to make a good seal, it can be used over and over.  Take good care of your service plugs, as you would with any other part of your tool set.
